The Veterinary Business Agency is a brokerage company specialising exclusively in veterinary practice, and was founded by Malcolm Wright in 1993 as part of Vet Direct Wholesale ltd and his other Veterinary Groups Westway Vets and firstvets group Ltd
It was restarted again as an independent entity in April 2011.
Veterinary Surgeons spend many years developing relationships with staff, clients, and colleagues, increasing their clinical and management skills.
Unfortunately, the one area of knowledge and relationships that are not easily developed during this period is in the selling of their practice,which unlike a routine operations they will only usually undertake once, and when sold you can't go back and renegotiate, so you must get it right first time.
We realise for most practicing veterinarians, the sale or buying of a veterinary practice will be one of the most important financial decisions they will make in their lifetime. Thus, the requirement for information, consultation, and other professionals support is needed when involved in this life altering decision.
With over 35 years of successfully buying and selling practices behind me, the experience gained has given me a comprehensive knowledge to assess a practice's strengths and weaknesses and understand its worth in today's marketplace. This knowledge when combined with industry standard valuation techniques allows us to determine a practice's value. We will use the appraisal method that best fits the owner’s requirements and goals from the sale.
